    Roy Baumeister is a highly accomplished social psychologist and a prolific researcher and writer in the areas of social rejection and belongingness, sexuality, self-control and self-esteem, motivation and aggression, consciousness and free will. He has authored well over 500 publications, including over 30 books. He earned his Bachelor from Princeton University, his Maters from Duke University and completed his PhD at Princeton University again in 1978. He also studied a year in Heidelberg and was post-doc at the University of California at Berkeley. He taught for over 20 years at Case Western Reserve University and since 2003, he is Francis Eppes Eminent Professor at Florida State University. Roy is a fellow of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology, of the American Psychological Association and the Association for Psychological Science. His book Willpower, for instance, has been a bestseller on the New York Times list and was designated as one of the Best Books of the Year by Amazon. This and other of his books have been translated in many languages. He talks about general principles of leadership, leadership in academia, about his advisor Edward E.
