Lea Naemi Weigand
Lea Naemi Weigand holds a PhD in economics from the University of Zurich and is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Behavioral Measurement Group, a joint initiative of Goethe University Frankfurt and Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. In her research, she deals with questions of behavioral economics, in particular with the effects of stereotypes on individual decision-making behavior. One focus is on the phenomenon of self-stereotyping – i.e. the adoption of social stereotypes in one’s own self-perception – and on normative mechanisms that influence individual decisions in social, institutional and ecological contexts. Her research thus contributes to the question of how social identities, such as gender, influence behavior. Prior to her doctorate, she completed a B.Sc. in Economics with a focus on Economics at Goethe University Frankfurt and an M.Sc. in Economics at the London School of Economics.
