    Prof. Dr. Ferdinand von Siemens

    Ferdinand von Siemens is professor for applied economics at the Goethe University Frankfurt since September 2012. He studied economics at the University of Freiburg and the University of Munich. He completed his PhD in economics at the University of Munich in 2004. Since then he worked at the University of Munich and since 2008 at the University of Amsterdam. His research interests are in the areas of applied game theory, applied contract theory, and behavioral and experimental economics. He uses game-theoretical methods and laboratory experiments to investigate the efficiency of firm and market institutions. He is especially interested in applying new behavioral methods and insights from psychology to economic questions and problems.
