    Jürgen Fitschen was born in Harsefeld, close to Hamburg on 1st September 1948 and completed his High School Diploma in Stade in 1966. After his training to become an international wholesale management assistant he studied Economics in Hamburg. Since 1975 he worked for the Citibank and from 1986for the Deutsche Bank, being head manager for Asia. He has been a management board member of the Deutsche Bank AG for years and, together with Anshu Jain, he became the chairmanship of the board in 2012. In April this year, he became president of the Federal Association of German Banks. His contract as co-chairman of the board of the Deutsche Bank has recently been prolonged until 2017. He talks about his personal leadership style, about leadership in management boards and supervisory boards and about what good leadership consists of and how it can be learnt. He also talks about values, the loss of trust in the banking sector and about how the Deutsche Bank tries to define and communicate values.
